Brecon Beacons – weekend hiking trip guide
Fancy a weekend away hiking in the Brecon Beacons but not quite sure where to start? As you all probably know by now, I love
As part of my challenges and love for hiking, I regularly organise trips where I have the availability to bring along anyone who would like to join me! Here’s some of my regularly asked questions for what happens on the trips I organise, and how you can come along on the next one.
All of the trips include hiking or summiting a peak; whether it be part of my Crown of Europe challenge, or one-day hiking trip from London. Therefore a love for the outdoors, trekking and adventure is a must! Some of my previous group trips have included:
Anyone who’s interested in Travel and Hiking can come along!
Over the years some of the group members have included friends, people I have met through my travels and instagram followers and we’ve created a great group between us who now meet up regularly outside of trips! We’re always looking for new people to join us, so if you’re interested just reach out!
For the Crown of Europe trips, there are usually only 9 available spaces. This is due to having a 9 seater van.
For the London Hiking trips, the spaces are unlimited.
All trips function on a first come first serve basis, so if you’re interested, get in quick!
All new trips are uploaded to my Meet-Up group, which you can access here. I would recommend joining the group, so you’ll be notified via email once a new trip has gone live! All information on how to book your place will be included.
I also upload trips as a facebook event on my facebook page. You can follow my facebook page here, to ensure you don’t miss out on a notification from facebook either.
I also occasionally announce my upcoming group trips on my Instagram stories. You can follow me on Instagram here.
Our trips are usually centred around hiking or reaching the highest peak of that particular country. There is usually lots of photo opportunities, which I take advantage of for my instagram! However, we also usually see more of the country we’re visiting, see what the area has to offer as well as finish off the trips with some drinks!
I’ve blogged about a few of my previous trips, which you can read about here:

Knowing how to train, and what to take on a hiking trip can be tricky, as it totally depends on the difficulty of the mountain and the trip itself. When I announce each trip, I will explain more about its difficulty beforehand. However you can read more about what to train and what to pack, via my posts below:

I was delighted to speak alongside some of the biggest mountaineers in the world. The topic of my presentation was: Do you need to be an athlete to climb Everest?
As part of my training for Mount Everest, I recently visited the famous Altitude Centre in London, the UK’s number 1 Altitude Training Specialist! They are renowned for their technology and simulated altitude training, to help mountaineers meet their acclimatisation, performance or rehabilitation goals.
